On Thursday, August 21st, the Red Wing Area Chamber hosted its Annual Golf Tournament at the beautiful Red Wing Golf Course. This year’s theme—
It’s 5 o’clock somewhere—set the tone for a day filled with sunshine, laughter, and incredible community spirit. With perfect weather, a full course of players, and countless sponsors and volunteers, the event was once again a highlight of the summer.
Our golf tournament is not only one of our biggest fundraisers of the year but also one of the most anticipated events. The laid-back atmosphere made it easy for players to enjoy the game, reconnect with old friends, and build new relationships. It was a true celebration of the Red Wing area’s business and community connections.
The Hole That Stole the Show
One of the highlights each year is the award for Best Decorated Hole Sponsor, and this year’s winner was Elysian Fields of Red Wing. Their creativity wowed participants with a bar-themed setup, complete with a backdrop display of liquor bottles, martini-shaped helium balloons, and themed beverages. To top it off, golfers tested their skills in a playful challenge: catching olives or cherries in their mouth for a chance to be entered into a prize drawing. Their fun energy and attention to detail captured the spirit of the day!
Volunteers Who Make It Happen
Events of this scale would not be possible without the incredible support of our volunteers. From setup the day before, to registration, to keeping things running smoothly on tournament day, their dedication and enthusiasm ensured everything went off without a hitch.
Raffles, Prizes, and a Whole Lot of Excitement
When it came to prizes, the raffle was a total crowd favorite! Thanks to the incredible generosity of local businesses and community members, we had everything from themed baskets to gift cards and unique goodies up for grabs. Attendees lined up to try their luck at winning the Wagon Load of Fun, take a swing at Punch for a Prize, and scoop up raffle items that showcased the best of our local shops and services. The energy was high, the laughs were plentiful, and the support for our Chamber’s mission was heartwarming.
