    Job Description
    WHY QUINN MOTORS OF ELLSWORTH?
    Quinn Motors of Ellsworth is a successful and growing Chevrolet GMC new car dealer looking to further grow their successful Service department by hiring a candidate to join our dynamic service team.
    Quinn Motors, a General Motors franchised car dealership, is family owned and family run - 3 generations started by Matthew J. Quinn in 1919.  The service team is small (less than 9) and places new candidates to become important integral members of our Service team's success.
    Qualifications
    • A high school diploma or equivalent; Automotive Program/School preferred
    • A minimum of one (1) year automotive repair experience, desired; or a combination of education and experience
    • Comprehensive knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance required
    Candidates Should Know
    • Dealership experience preferred but not required
    • Quinn Motors is willing to train the right candidate - Any GM dealer experience is a plus not a must

    Responsibilities
    Conduct
    • Maintains high ethical standards in all actions
    • Maintains assigned workspace organized and clean
    Automotive service
    • Experience and working knowledge in an automotive service environment.
    Automotive repair
    • Experience and working knowledge of automotive repair.
    Alignment
    • Experience repairing and maintaining vehicle wheel and suspension angles.
    Mechanical knowledge
    • Knowledge of or experience working with mechanical systems, machines and tools.
    • Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner
    Maintenance
    • Experience performing various types of maintenance, specifically motorized vehicle maintenance.
    • Operates and maintains in good condition all lubrication equipment
    Automotive diagnostics
    • Knowledge of or experience working with automotive diagnostics.
    • Determine causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it
    Tire service
    • Experience inspecting, repairing and/or replacing tires.
    • Checks tire pressures and add air, as needed
    • Rotates tires and inspects brake linings/drums and brake pads/discs
    Oil change
    • Experience changing the oil in engines.
    • Performing oil changes on guest vehicles
    • Inspecting oil, cabin, air filters, and vehicle fluid levels and replaces or replenishes as necessary
    Heavy lifting
    • Skill or experience safely lifting and moving heavy objects while preventing injury, either alone or with a teammate.
    Hand tools / Power Tools
    • Knowledge of or experience using hand-powered tools
    Service department team member
    • Assists the service department as needed
    • Documents all work performed on repair order and inspection sheet
