Wacipi Celebration at Treasure Island Resort & Casino

Celebrate tradition, heritage and culture at the annual Dakota Wacipi Singing and Dancing Celebration. This magnificent event will take place July 12-14 with exciting competitions held all weekend. A Wacipi or pow wow is a traditional Native American cultural celebration where the generations gather to socialize, dance, sing, visit, renew old friendships and make new ones. The event will feature dancers and drummers from all around the United States and Canada. Each day the celebration will begin with Grand Entry performances, starting on Friday at 7PM, Saturday at 1PM and 7PM and Sunday at 1PM. There will also be a wide array of Indian arts, handmade crafts and jewelry for sale as well as traditional Native American foods available all day during the Wacipi. Come to watch, listen and feel Native American culture and history come alive through these exciting competitions.
