The Phantoms Groovy 60's Car Show

Phantoms Motor/Model Club, in cooperation with Red Wing Downtown Main Street, is sponsoring a FATHERS DAY Car show in Red Wing on Sunday, June 16. They are featuring Drivers and Survivors. Also the class of ’09 will be well represented with a 1909 Franklin, 1909 Brush and a 1909 Buick, as well as a 1911 Buick and other Pre War vehicles. One of the members will also display his Fire Truck. The show will be held on Third Street in Downtown Red Wing from 10 AM to 3 PM. Dash plaques will be awarded to the first 200 cars. The show is free to participants and spectators.  Please bring food items for the Red Wing Area Food Shelf.  Awards will be given for the Wildest, Hottest, Hippest, Grooviest, Club Choice, Kids Choice, Family Choice and others. Special awards will be trophy cakes, courtesy of Hanisch Bakery. Youth under 15 are encouraged to make & take their own model cars (FREE), by the Sheldon Theatre. Downtown Main Street will also have Hot Wheel races for the youth to enjoy. Entertainment will be provided by “Community” Mike Murphy, playing car tunes.

DTMS will be hosting a Hot Wheels Car Race. For $2, you can pick a car, race it in 3 heats and then keep the car! If your car wins the best of three, then you will win an ice cream cone or other sweet treat! Stop down and test out the track!! The Hot Wheels booth is sponsored by: Behrens Supply, Falk Auto Body, Johnson Tire, Diversion Solutions, Sorensen Financial Services. Sweet Treat prizes provided by: Hanisch Bakery, The SubHouse, Clara's in the St James, Liberty's, Randy's and Hallstrom's.
