Name: The Importance of Being Earnest Performing at Sheldon Theatre
    Date: April 4, 2013 - April 6, 2013
    Event Description:
The Importance of Being Earnest revolves around a ridiculous case of manufactured mistaken identity. Set in the 1890’s, it is the story of two gentlemen friends using the same pseudonym, Ernest. Both men fall in love with women who believe them to be Ernest Worthing, which naturally causes confusion when the two women meet. Add in a domineering mother, a misplaced baby in a handbag, an imaginary invalid, along with Oscar Wilde’s sarcastic wit, and you have all the elements of a wickedly good, period comedy.
