Southern Minnesota Tourism Association is an association for business owners, VCB and Chamber members working together to educate, network and promote tourism in Southern Minnesota. We will be showing off our community and encouraging members to explore and enjoy our businesses and attractions and encouraging them to send groups to Red Wing when they are booking events. Anyone interested in donating an item promoting your business to be given away at the meeting, please contact the Visitor Center at 651.385.5934. There will be 40-50 people attending this conference in Red Wing and they will each receive a Red Wing Guest Pass to use while they are here.
The meeting on Thursday, March 3 (Registration at 8AM, meeting at 9AM) is open to business owners that are interested in attending. The meeting will include the SMTA business meeting, roundtable discussions about “How do you prepare for and celebrate National Tourism Week in your community?” and a guest speaker. The guest speaker is Erin Meier, Director, University of Minnesota Extension, SE Regional Sustainable Development Partnership. The Southeast Regional Development Partnership brings together local talent and resources with University of Minnesota knowledge and seed funding to drive sustainability in agriculture and food systems, natural resources, tourism and resilient communities, and clean energy.
