This is the 6th year that downtown businesses have donated a portion of their profits on Shop For A Cause day to benefit the local Pay It Forward Program. Pay it Forward-Red Wing has assisted 41 localfamilies during their devastating and emotional diagnose of cancer by assisting with non-medical expenses such as paying some of their day-to-day expenses like daycare, utilities, car repairs so they can get to their treatments, rent or mortgages, or other hardships. Their goal is to take a little pressure off during the stressful time of treatment. All their money stays local and it is run through Pam Horlitz and the Fairview Foundation.
