Join artist Perci Chester for an outdoor artist talk and reception honoring the installation of her sculpture, Film Noir Ensemble, in the Anderson Center Sculpture Garden on Thursday, June 10 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided.
The new twenty-two-foot-high sculpture is a pair of animated figures, assembled from pieces of an old water tower. Rust and rivets are now coated in intense candy-colored paints. Since its installation in October 2020, this sculpture has been a literal bright spot on the landscape, especially during the winter months. A new year and the return of warm weather brings an opportunity to gather near the monumental sculptures to hear from the artist and formally welcome her work to the sculpture park.
