Learn more about The Red Wing Police Department and the State and Local statutes that guide our actions! Applications for the Fall 2016, Red Wing Police Department Citizens Academy are now being accepted. The Citizens Academy provides an opportunity for citizens to learn more about the various components that make up the police department. Participants will be introduced to areas such as traffic enforcement, investigations, school liaison officers, and Use of Force and evidence procedures. Attendees will also tour the Law Enforcement center including the Dispatch Center and Adult Detention Center. The Citizens Academy is scheduled to begin on October 13, 2016 and run for six consecutive Thursday evenings from 6PM – 9PM.
