If you’ve been thinking the city of Red Wing seems really busy, you are right! The Red Wing Collector’s Society 35th Annual Convention is being held this week and there are lots of fun activities for the whole community. As part of the 35th celebration, there are many events open to the public. We want to encourage businesses, community members and families to join in the celebration and fun!
Crock Hunt - Identify 16 sites in Red Wing beginning on Friday, July 6. Return completed entry form to the RWCS Show and Sale on Saturday, July 14. Forms are available at the Chamber office and Red Wing High School.
Friday, July 13
8:30 am--Time Capsule Burial--Public Welcome
Stop at the North Star Monument located at 1811 Old West Main St. in Red Wing to see this event. Open to the public.
5:00 to 9:00pm--Crock Fest--Central Park–Public Welcome
The 2012 Convention will celebrate the 35th Anniversary of the RWCS. A fun-filled evening for everyone including music, food, and fun. Kids’ activities include root beer floats, face painting, and clay modeling. Music provided by The Cruisers.
Saturday, July 14—Convention—RWHS--Open to all Visitors
8:00--12:00--Members Displays of Red Wing: Stoneware, Dinnerware, Art Pottery and Rare items open for viewing
10:30—1:30--SHOW and SALE–Over 150 tables selling Red Wing Stoneware, Dinnerware, Art Pottery and city Memorabilia. KWNG will be broadcasting live at the show. Everyone Welcome! Come Register to win RWCS membership for one year. Don’t forget to bring your completed Crock Hunt form.
