              Event Description:

              This course is designed for anyone at any age or ability who is interested in taking a more active role in their own self-defense by increasing their understanding of themselves and those around them.  In this course, we will discuss various preventative techniques and principles relating to self-defense.  Some of the topics to be discussed will be situational awareness, inattentional blindness, stress inoculation, State Statutes relating to use of force in self-defense, body language, detecting danger, and signs of aggression.
