Name: Mississippi Valley partners Planning MeetingDate: November 6, 2013Time: 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM CSTEvent Description:The mission of the Mississippi Valley Partners (MVP) Tourist organization is to promote the entire River Region to attract tourists and draw them to our local businesses and attractions. MVP produced over 61,000 copies of their 56 page Travel Planners this year which have been distributed throughout every Minnesota and Wisconsin official tourism center and state entry points and Tourist Information Centers in Iowa, Illinois and the Dakotas. They are also stocked at all member locations and mailed to tourists by requests from their web site nationally. The guides are also distributed to all of the Mayo Clinic waiting areas and many of the hotels in nearby cities such as Rochester, Eau Claire, and LaCrosse. This organization launched the 100 Mile Garage Sale and last year featured the first annual “100 mile Christmas Celebration” which will be held every year on the first full weekend in December.
