Red Wing Area Chamber is Hosting the Minnesota Gophers Paul Bunyan’s Axe Tour—June 6—Central Park—4-7PM Have you heard?? Minnesota Gopher Athletics is excited to begin taking Paul Bunyan's Axe around the great state of Minnesota beginning next week! The Axe Tour will visit 9 cities (including Red Wing) over 15 days and travel over 1,000 miles so that the entire state can get to see, hold, and take photos with Paul Bunyan's Axe. The axe is back in Minnesota for the first time in 15 years and we want to celebrate! Included at this pop-up event will be giveaways, a photo station with the axe, music and more. The rivalry between Wisconsin and Minnesota started in 1890. The University of Minnesota wants to display the success of this long standing rivalry (the University of Wisconsin locks up the axe and doesn’t allow people to touch it). Come join the fun at Central Park on June 6th as the Red Wing Area Chamber of Commerce hosts this event! This event is FREE and open to the public.
