Remember to vote for your favorite Mayor Candidate on June 11. The following six candidates filed for the mayoral special election: Dan Bender, Ernest Stone, John Sachen, Christopher Nelson, Elizabeth Kocina, and Samantha Tix. The special election is scheduled for June 11 (absentee voting is available June 8—June 11 at City Hall). The person elected June 11 will complete the term left by Dennis Egan, ending January 2017. The League of Women Voters sponsored a mayoral candidate forum on May 30 that will be rebroadcast until the election on Channel 6.
