Our next Lunch and Learn Seminar is scheduled for Thursday, November 17 from 12-1 PM. The topic this month will be Employer Military Laws. Lunch and Learn Seminars is a new program we started last month, sponsored by Charter Business that will run from October through May.
The Red Wing Area Chamber of Commerce and the Red Wing Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Initiative have joined together to bring an educational seminar regarding the United States Services Employment And Re-employment Rights Act (USSERA). This educational seminar will be lead by Roger Williams, Retired Serviceman and Dave Thul, President of the Owatonna Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Initiative. This seminar is a result of our community commitment to the Beyond the Yellow Ribbon initiative, which has a goal of educating the businesses in our community about military issues.
This seminar will be held Thursday, November 17, Noon-1 PM in the conference room at the Republican Eagle, located at 2760 North Service Drive. Topics covered will be employer and employee rights, rules and regulations regarding military issues (i.e. deployment, guard requirements, etc.), as well as, what businesses can do to support the Beyond the Yellow Ribbon initiative.
