League of Women Voters is Offering Candidate Training—February 20—6-8PM

If you have ever considered running for local office, this event is for you! On February 20th, the LWV are bringing together the people who can answer your questions about being a candidate. You will hear directly from the people who know the nuts and bolts of serving on the Red Wing School Board, the Goodhue County Board of Commissioners, and the Red Wing City Council. County Attorney Steven O’Keefe will guide you through some of the legal requirements of running a campaign and serving as an elected official. There will be additional resources to help you get started as well. The LWV hopes you leave this event ready to take the leap to serve our community in this vital way. Speakers include: Karsten Anderson, Superintendent, Red Wing Schools; Scott Arneson, Goodhue County Administrator; Kay Kuhlman, City Council Administrator; and Steven O-Keefe, County Attorney.
