Camp Pepin Volunteer Opportunity—October 12—Any time between 10AM—4PM
The results from our HYPE survey indicated a desire for one time volunteer opportunities. Please consider assisting the YMCA’s Camp Pepin with their annual fall clean up this Saturday, October 12th. Camp Pepin Director Tom Carlberg invites you to assist with outdoor fall clean up and possibly some indoor painting. This is an informal opportunity and you may come and go as you can from 10 am to 4 pm. Please dress for the weather and plan to get dirty. Lunch will be available at noon. Meet at Camp Pepin, located just north of Pepin, Wisconsin off Highway 35 (approximately 28 miles). After Stockholm, go approximately 3 miles, (there is a small sign on the highway indicating the upcoming turn), turn right on Deer Island Road (there is a small silver shed that sits by the train tracks), then take the first left.. Camp Pepin is a tradition of the Red Wing YMCA and provides year-round opportunities for individuals to develop an awareness and appreciation of themselves, each other and the environment through hands-on learning sessions, cooperative exercises, recreational activities and small group living situations. In addition, check out their newly installed disc golf course open for use.
