Two of HYPE’s goals are connecting aspiring community leaders and encouraging community involvement. On August 31st, HYPE has scheduled its third of four community service events for 2016. We will be working with Habitat for Humanity and helping on their current Red Wing project located at 520 17th St., Red Wing. Depending on the weather, we’ll either help put up some exterior siding or working inside putting up some vapor barrier and insulation. For those of you who have participated with Habitat projects before, you know how fun and rewarding it is to help build someone in need a home. The event will run from 4p-8p, but people can show up whenever they are able. They will have a quick safety/work meeting for us at 4p to get us started. If you want to bring a tape measure and your favorite hammer and work gloves, please do, otherwise they will have extras for everyone.
