    Event Description:

    By understanding the survival mindset and simple courses of action during an active shooter situation, you can increase your chance of survival.  This session will include an overview of the survival mindset and courses of action, the distinction between an active shooter and hostage situation, and how to respond to law enforcement responders.  This training is based on strategies developed by the Center for Personal Protection & Safety and is consistent with guidance provided by U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
