Go Red For Women
Name: Go Red For WomenDate: February 7, 2014Event Description:Mayo Clinic Health System in Cannon Falls, Lake City and Red Wing are once again participating in the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women campaign during February. Staff at the medical centers in all three communities will wear red that day and will encourage others to do the same. For the second year in a row, local businesses and organizations are invited to participate, encouraging their employees to wear red and to submit a photo to be featured on the Mayo Clinic Health System Facebook page. The photos will be posted on the site throughout the day. Photos should be submitted to mchssocialmedia@mayo.edu.
The medical centers in Cannon Falls, Lake City and Red Wing all offer cardiac rehabilitation to help patients recover after suffering from a heart attack. The public is invited to an open house to meet the Cardiac Rehabilitation staff and receive heart healthy tips. There will be an opportunity to tour the facilities at each site. Staff will also offer risk factor screenings and assessments. Healthy refreshments will be served. Reservations are not required.
