July 18 and/ or August 22—6-7PM: First Timer’s Hike $5.00
Whether you’re new to town, new to hiking, or just want to meet some new people, this program is for you! A Red Wing Park Naturalist will lead you on a hike on local trails where you’ll meet other people, get familiar with new terrain, and leave feeling confident that you can tackle the trail all on your own the next time around. On July 18th we’ll hike the trails through Memorial Park and meet at the Mississippi National Golf Links (MNGL) trail head. On August 22nd, we’ll hike the trail system in the Hay Creek. Both trail systems have moderate to steep inclines, and uneven, rocky terrain. Detailed directions will be emailed to registered participants prior to the program.
