Phantoms Motor/Model Club, in cooperation with Red Wing Downtown Mainstreet, is sponsoring a Father’s Day Car Show in Red Wing on Sunday, June 17. This year they are featuring Customs & Street rods. They will honor and remember two Senior members who passed away this past year. Their cars, Don’s 1941 Studebaker Commander & Walt’s 1957 Chrysler 300C, will be featured on dash plaques and trophies.
The show will be held on Third Street in Downtown Red Wing from 10 AM to 3 PM. Dash plaques will be awarded to the first 175 cars. The show is free to participants and spectators. Awards will be given for the Wildest, Hottest, Hippest, Grooviest, Mayor’s Choice, Club Choice, Kids Choice, Family Choice and others. Spectator voting is encouraged. They will have the Make & Take Model project again this year by the Sheldon Theatre for the first 150 youth. Youth under 15 are encouraged to make their own model cars for free. Food sales will benefit Downtown Mainstreet. Please bring food items for the Red Wing Area Food Shelf. Cash donations will also be accepted.
