Join us at Frontenac State Park for an artistic view of fall colors during the peak of the color season in Southeast Minnesota. Hosted by the Frontenac State park Association. Ongoing Activities: Artist’s Trail: Visit with Minnesota artists as they create fall-colored Frontenac State Park - inspired artwork along the bluff-top at the Picnic Area. Some artists will have pieces of their work available for purchase. Art projects: Create a card and make nature rubbings at make and take stations inside and outside the Picnic Shelter. Workshops 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. – Nature Journaling Workshop This hands-on, family-friendly, workshop will give you the opportunity to learn how to make your own nature journal and give tips on how to keep your journal active and vibrant. Presented by Joanne Klees, Hok-Si-La Park Manager. Limited to 30 participants ages 8 and up, guardians must be present. Meet inside the picnic shelter. 3:00-4:00 p.m. – Outdoor Family Portrait workshop & hike Patsy Peterson, Amateur Photographer, will provide tips and tricks for taking fantastic fall colors family portraits using digital and phone cameras.
