Downtown Mainstreet and Minnesota Main Street is hosting a seminar on “Economic Gardening” which is an entrepreneurial approach to economic development that seeks to grow the local economy from within. The objective is a focus on growing, nurturing and strengthening local businesses. You are invited to learn more! This seminar is Free and open to the public! The seminar is at the Indigo Room (325 Main Street-3rd Floor) and starts with a social time at 6:30PM. The presentation starts at 7PM and will answer questions like: What is Economic Gardening? Why is it an important economic development strategy? How is it implemented? How can it be applied to a blue-collar community? How is it relevant to Red Wing Downtown Main Street? The presentation will be followed by a question and answer session at approximately 8PM. This seminar is presented by Robin Phelps, a nationally recognized expert on implementing Economic Gardening in small and rural communities.
