The Cannon Valley Trail is now open from Cannon Falls to Red Wing. There are sections of the trail that are unpaved at this point. Unpaved sections are crushed rock so trail users should use caution while going through these areas.
August 4—Rod Johnson, archaeologist, will be demonstrating “Flintknapping”, which is the way Indians made weapons and tools. He will also have a display table with interesting and educational items for everyone to see. The Red Wing Chamber of Commerce will provide treats for all. These events are for “Everyone,” not just bikers and are held at the Welch site from 11 AM – 2 PM.
