              Event Description:
              Please join the American Cancer Society's Mississippi Shuffle Relay For Life. On Friday, August 10, the Red Wing community will join together for the 24th annual Mississippi Shuffle at Bay Point Park.  The event celebrates the lives of cancer survivors, remembers friends and family lost to the disease, and supports the research and patient programs funded by the American Cancer Society.  All cancer survivors will be honored during the opening ceremony at 5:45 PM which will be followed by a survivor lap led by honorary chairwoman and breast cancer survivor Laurie Jorgensen.  At 9 PM, thousands of luminaria will light up the park in honor and remembrance of those who have battled cancer.  Walkers will remain on the track all night and the event will conclude with a closing ceremony at 9 AM on Saturday, August 11.  Please join us for a memorable evening!  For more information, visit  www.relayforlife.org/redwingmn  or email Samantha Rother at  samantha.rother@cancer.org.
