In 1969 what was then known as Red Wing’s Vocational Technical Institute opened its doors as part of the area’s public school district. Now an accredited two-year college affiliated with the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) system, Minnesota State College–Southeast Technical (308 Pioneer Road) celebrates 44 years of service to the community by inviting alumni and friends back to the Red Wing campus on Saturday, October 12 from 11AM-2PM. There is no charge for attending the Reunion, but advance reservations are requested at southeastmn.edu/alumnireunion1, 507-453-2663 or cjohnson@southeastmn.edu. A drawing for a $50 gas gift card will be held for those who register in advance! The college is also seeking old photos, yearbooks and other memorabilia to include in displays at the reunion. Contact Alumni Director, Casie Johnson, if you have items of interest at 507-453-2663 or
cjohnson@southeastmn.edu, or stop by the Red Wing campus reception desk to drop off items. Activities include: Picnic lunch; year book display; history slide show; campus tours; photo booth; acoustic music jam sessions; kids’ activities; outdoor games.
