    Goodhue County Habitat for Humanity
    Job Description
Goodhue County Habitat for Humanity is seeking a Community Engagement & Marketing Manager to carry forward this critical role. This hands-on leadership position is responsible for telling Goodhue County Habitat’s story, building awareness of our local impact, strengthening community partnerships, and recruiting and supporting the volunteers who make our work possible.
The person in this role will lead strong, strategic communications, marketing, and outreach — excelling at both the strategic and tactical work to ensure Goodhue County Habitat’s long-term success.
    What You’ll Do

Develop and carry out a communications plan (with a content calendar) to raise Habitat’s visibility across Goodhue County.

Create and manage content across newsletters, website, social media, and press.

Capture and share impact stories through writing, photography, and short video; maintain a usable photo/video library.

Recruit, engage, and recognize volunteers; partner with construction staff to coordinate volunteer schedules and on-site support.

Serve as a community ambassador, building partnerships with schools, faith communities, businesses, and civic groups.
    What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of professional experience in communications, marketing, public relations, and/or community engagement; or at least 8+ years of directly relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.

Experience managing multiple communications channels (email, website, social) and keeping content fresh and engaging.

Exceptional relationship-building skills; experience working with volunteers and/or community partners.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Comfortable working in the office, build sites, and community settings.

    Passion for Habitat’s mission.
You’ll thrive in this role if you:

Are a people-centered communicator who builds trust and strong relationships.

Bring strategic communications and marketing skills, while also rolling up your sleeves to execute the work and see tasks all the way through.

Pay close attention to detail and follow through on commitments — accuracy and consistency matter greatly in this role.

Are adaptable and comfortable shifting between communications work, build sites, and community events.

Have strong public speaking and presentation skills and enjoy being a visible ambassador for Habitat.

Work with integrity, a positive outlook, and a team-first mentality.

Are passionate about the Habitat for Humanity mission.
Salary Range: $50,000–$60,000 (commensurate with experience)
