Red Wing Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting and Awards Recognition—Monday, January 27, 2014
We have over 350+ people registered for our Success in the City, Annual Meeting and Awards Recognition Dinner on Monday, January 27! The evening begins with a social hour at 5:15PM. We’ll hold a very brief Annual meeting and our Board of Directors election, followed by a look at 2013 and what’s coming up in 2014 with the Red Wing Chamber. Remember to wear your work nametag if you have one (or we will have sticky ones at registration). Bring a business card because we will use it for the door prize drawings.
A delicious dinner will be served and then the excitement builds as we start our “lively” Dessert Auction! Several of our Chamber members have graciously donated delectable desserts, which will be auctioned during the evening. Every attendee will be given a bid number at the registration table, so be prepared to bid (by yourself, with your company, with your table, or with anyone in the room!) for your favorite dessert from these local businesses: Brickhouse Pub & Grille; Econofoods; Marie’s Underground Grill & Tap House; Perkins Restaurant & Bakery; St. Crispin Living Community; St. James Hotel; Treasure Island Resort & Casino; Walmart; and Wiederholt’s Supper Club. And if you’re a lucky winner of a dessert, feel free to share with others at your table. To make it easy we can invoice any winners, or you can bring a company check.
After the Dessert Auction the real excitement begins…….the Annual Awards and Recognition portion of the evening. This is where Winners will be announced for 2013 Businesses of the Year from our 119 nominees! Good luck to all of our nominees!
Treasure Island & Resort has graciously donated the Governor’s Suite to be auctioned off at our event. The Governor’s Suite features a full living room with sleeper sofa; kitchenette/wet bar; master bedroom with sitting area; large master bathroom with Jacuzzi and dual vanities; guest bathroom; 1220 square feet, a $1,500 value, so bring your good luck and plan on bidding!
If your business has a door prize (valued at $25 or more) that you would like to donate for our Annual Meeting (Monday January, 27), please notify our office ASAP. You can either drop your door prize at our office before January 27, or bring it with you that night. We need to know about your door prize by January 23 so we can acknowledge all donations on the jumbo screen at the Event, in our program book and on our website. This is a great way to get your business recognized in front of 350+ business people in the Red Wing area. THANK YOU!
Treasure Island Resort & Casino is running a “Chamber Room Special” on the night of the Annual Meeting. You can reserve a standard room on January 27 for ONLY $59 (plus tax). A huge THANK YOU to Roger Sievers and the Republican Eagle for all of their help with the nomination and voting process! The Chamber staff was excluded from nominating and voting. All nominees were turned in by employees, associates, friends and Chamber members. The winners were voted on by Chamber members only. All winners will be announced at the Chamber Annual Meeting and Awards Recognition Dinner on Monday, January 27, at Treasure Island Resort & Casino.
