              Kernza Fest- A Lake Pepin Legacy Alliance Event
              June 18--10AM-6PM-- See, taste, and learn about innovations in water-healthy agriculture at Kernza Fest, a first-of-its kind event by the Lake Pepin Legacy Alliance! Kernza is the first commercially developed perennial grain crop that not only benefits the soil, but helps clean water with its deep root system. A cousin to wheat, Kernza was developed as a revolution in agriculture, and is beginning to become discovered by chefs, bakers, and brewers. Kernza Fest will explore the ways this grain can be used in sustainable and delicious ways – with expert panels, chef demos, tastings (additional cost), specialty vendors, kids activities and more!
              Tasting Tent at Kernza Fest: Sample and sip different food and beverages made from Kernza inside the Tasting Tent. Open at 3 pm to those with wristbands ($10). Save time at the door by purchasing your wristband in advance! Alcohol available to 21+ only (show ID when picking up wristband). Check the "Tasting Tent at Kernza Fest" box on the registration page linked above to pre-pay for your wristband.
              Kernza Fest is free for all ages. Entrance to the Tasting Tent within the festival is $10. We encourage registration to help us plan!
