Road Closure at the Intersection of East Avenue, West 5th and West 6th Streets Beginning November 10, 2017.
(November 9, 2017, Red Wing, Minn.) – The City of Red Wing Public Works Department would like to inform you that East Avenue will be closed to all traffic between the intersections of East Avenue and West 5th Street, and East Avenue and West 6th Street beginning November 10, 2017. West 5th Street will remain open except at the intersection of East Avenue.
The closure is needed for storm tunnel and Xcel gas line repairs and is expected to take approximately two weeks, weather permitting. The road will be reopened as soon as repairs have been completed. Traffic control will be in place. Drivers are encouraged to avoid this area.
Motorists are encouraged to stay alert and drive carefully through all work zones and use alternate routes whenever possible. Thank you in advance for your patience!
