U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar’s Staff to Visit Red Wing—June 7—8-9AM—Minnesota State College Southeast
Klobuchar’s staff will join with local business and education leaders across Southern Minnesota to discuss local initiatives to help bridge the skills gap and highlight Klobuchar-backed legislation and funding to strengthen Minnesota’s workforce. In 2015, Klobuchar successfully pushed for a $5 million grant from the Department of Labor to strengthen partnerships between Minnesota community colleges and local businesses; Earlier this year, Klobuchar introduced her bipartisan American Apprenticeship Act, which would create and expand tuition assistance programs for participants in apprenticeship programs.
