The wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) treats all the wastewater generated by the entire city including residential, commercial and industrial wastewater. The system is a trickling filter biological facility with micro-organisms doing the actual waste strength reduction. This biological treatment is augmented with mechanical solids handling and numerous fluid pumps that assist the process. This facility has been in operation continuously since 1960. Tour Guidelines

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to tour time, to allow for check in at locations. Tours will begin on time!
All tours are limited to a maximum of 20 people. Reservations are required.
Tours are FREE and open to the public.
Tours are one hour in length.
Closed toe shoes (no high heels) must be worn on all tours.
No cell phones and/or pictures or videos are allowed during the tours.
Photo ids may be required.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
You can go on as many tours as your schedule allows.
