Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting—First Choice Clinic’s NEW Location—February 11—4:30-6:30PM
First Choice Clinic is announcing their move to a new, larger location at 1614 West Third Street. The Chamber Staff and Ambassadors will be helping them celebrate their new home with a Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting! First Choice Clinic is a nonprofit that has been proudly serving Red Wing and the surrounding communities since 2006. In 2018, they had 1,180 visits. They offer confidential medical, educational and support services, free of charge, to men and women in our community and surrounding areas. Their Medical Services are provided by licensed, trained, and caring professionals and are under the supervision and direction of a local licensed medical doctor. Medical Services include: pregnancy testing, OB ultrasounds, and sexually transmitted disease (STD) testing. Education and Support Services include: pregnancy and parenting education, material assistance, life skills and money management, natural family planning, pregnancy loss support (miscarriage or stillbirth), post-abortion support, sexual abuse healing, and community outreach speaking at schools, to youth groups and at area jails. We also do community referrals to partners for services we do not offer.
First Choice Clinic’s clients can earn up to $1,400 worth of material items from diapers and car seats to cribs or strollers annually. They also offer free multivitamin supplements for pregnant or lactating women who meet the income guidelines. They also have free baby food (as available), and emergency diapers for those in need.
First Choice Clinic has been closed the last 2 weeks while they’ve been moving and are scheduled to open their new location February 3 and they are excited to invite the public in to see their new space that will offer patients a more traditional clinic experience. Please join us Tuesday, February 11, 2020 from 4:30PM-6:30PM for their Open House and a Ribbon Cutting at 5PM. This is open to the public and light refreshments will be served.
