NOV. 6TH: FREE FAMILY FUN DAY AT THE HISTORY CENTER!
STREAM TABLES AND HANDS-ON WORKSHOPS
Visit the Goodhue County History Center on Sunday, November 6th from 1-5 PM for Free Family Fun Day! In conjunction with the Smithsonian Water/Ways exhibit, the History Center will host hands-on stream tables and the Native Skywatchers artist group. Free admission is offered from 1-5 PM, with workshops starting at 1 and 3 PM. Seating is limited for both workshops so arrive early to reserve a spot!
Native Skywatchers, a group of Native American artists, will lead two hands-on workshops for kids and adults alike. A Star Painting Workshop runs from 1-3 PM, and a Clay Pottery Workshop runs from 3-5 PM. Participants will create works of art while learning more about Native American culture.
When you’re not in a workshop, explore the Smithsonian Water/Ways exhibit and our two other water-themed exhibits free of charge. Winona State University will provide a hands-on stream table for kids (and adults!) to explore as well. The interactive table allows kids to see how water shapes our land, and the impact of flooding and river current on our local geography.
