Monday, April 15, Representative Barb Haley will host a series of four listening sessions in order to hear feedback and concerns from the communities she represents. Haley will hold one hour listening sessions in Cannon Falls, Red Wing, Wabasha, and Lake City. The events are open to the public; anyone is invited to stop by to ask questions and offer input on legislative matters, as well as learn more about Haley’s priorities for the remainder of the legislative session. “From healthcare costs to transportation funding to families’ tax burdens, a lot of impactful decisions will be made at the legislature in April and May,” said Haley. “I want to hear from folks about how some of the proposals being talked about at the Capitol will affect their daily lives. I’ve always believed our government should be an ongoing conversation between elected officials and the people they represent, and it’s important for those who are impacted by lawmakers’ decisions to provide their feedback. Understanding your concerns will be crucial as I continue my efforts in the weeks ahead to lower healthcare costs, craft a responsible state budget that allows you to keep more of your paychecks, and address fraud and waste in state government.” Haley encourages anyone who has questions about the listening sessions to contact her at rep.barb.haley@house.mn or 651-296-8635.
