              Event Description:
              March 12--Rental License Program Public Meeting– The public, especially all rental property owners and tenants, are invited to a special public meeting on Red Wing’s upcoming Rental License Program coming later this year. Come to the Public Library Lower Level on Thursday, March 12. An open house will begin at 6 p.m. A formal presentation will be at 6:30. City Council and staff are looking for the public’s ideas, questions, and feedback. Basic aspects of the program include an annual required owner’s license, property inspections every three years to meet basic health and safety standards, and annual communication updates from the city. Red Wing is committed to ensuring a healthy place to live for everyone, and this program helps accomplish that goal (specifically strategy 8.C.1. in the 2040 Community Plan).
