Tuesday, October 30—Public Tours 10AM—11AM Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant Training Center 1660 Wakonade Drive West, Welch, MN You’ll learn about nuclear power, see the exact replica simulator-control room used for training operators, and other training resources used for plant personnel. Park in the lot in front of the Training Center’s main entrance. Public Tour Guidelines:
Attendees must register through the Chamber Office prior to all tours.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to tour time to allow for check in at locations. Tours will begin on time! Please allow approximately 20-25 minutes drive time to arrive at the location on time!
All tours are limited to a maximum of 25 attendees.
Tours are FREE and open to the public.
Tours are one hour in length.
Closed heel and closed toe shoes (no high heels) must be worn on all tours.
NO cell phones and/or pictures or videos are allowed during the tours.
Photo ids may be required at certain locations.
Must be at least 16 years of age to tour.
You can go on as many tours as your schedule allows.
