All Aboard Minnesota Meeting—March 15—11AM-Noon—Red Wing Ignite
All Chamber members are encouraged to attend a special meeting to be held at Red Wing Ignite on Thursday March 15. Mayor Dowse will introduce representatives from All Aboard Minnesota, a nonprofit group, who will speak on MnDOT’s plans to introduce a second daily train serving Red Wing on the current Twin Cities-Chicago route. Learn what the proposed service will look like, how it is being designed, and what it could mean for business growth in our city (hint… A LOT). The speaker will describe how the new train will differ from current Amtrak service, the schedule which is being proposed, and a time line for implementation. Other towns in the Midwest have experienced dramatic economic benefits from improved intercity train service, and several examples will be described and discussed.
